Another Author I Love-Hate
Stephenie Meyer. Dude, I read her book, The Host, and loved it. Tore through it. Stayed up until 2:30 a.m. one night trying to finish, finally turned out the light, and then first thing the next morning, picked it up and didn't get out of bed until I was DONE.
She's that good.
This is one of the best books I've read all year. I so hate her. I so love her. If you're a reader who also writes, you know the feeling.

Hi Kate,
I feel the same way about Nora Roberts. I once told Nora if she'd wrote less, I'd write more. SHe thought about it for a minutes and then laughed.
Pat
I haven't read her books yet. I just bought Twilight and am waiting to start it until I know I'll have time to read all four books in a row! Your post has definitely got me itching to start them. :)
Yes, I liked this book. However as a writer I have to say I would have done the ending differently. I would have that guy (I read it in the beginning of the summer- so I don't remember his name)that loves her becomes her Host instead. Very interesting possibilites there.
Pat, Nora is such a kick in the pants.
Robin, those other YA books she wrote are on my TBR list.
Liz, I really thought a lot about how she was going to wrap up the ending. I just didn't see how it could work. But I was pretty satisfied with the ending. I DID think about her taking Ian's body, but then Ian would be reduced to being in the background like Melanie was, which would probably drive you insane. Plus, then they couldn't have any nookie, which would really be a bummer.
