Haiku: Aquatic Bummer

My pet fish

makes a bubble nest, and yet

no females in sight.

I LOVE HAIKU!!!!! And that fish is gorgeous. Is he really yours? I"m thinking about letting the kids get a fish tank. The Roo and Princess are allergic to cats and I can't stand dogs and gerbils and rats are just too rodenty, lol.

No, but he looks just like this. I love the beta fish because they're easy to take care of and don't require a filter, etc. I just have mine in a fishbowl. Don't go for one of those tiny pint-sized containers they sell for betas. They don't do well in them at all!

We also have hermit crabs. Those are even EASIER to take care of.
